Starting school can raise many questions for children and parents alike, and to try and answer some of your queries we have put together a Frequently Asked Questions section that you will find below. However, if you do have anything that you would like to know that has not already been addressed, please feel free to contact us.
Drop offs and Collections
Please drop your child/children off at 8.50am and the register is taken at 9.00am. Please bring your child to the gate situated before the reception play area. If you arrive after 9.00am please go to the main office.
Our day ends at 3.10pm and please collect your children from the same entrance that you dropped them off at. Our priority is that children leave safely and with the correct adult. If you need to make alternative collection arrangements, please can you speak to a member of the Team in the morning or contact the office prior to the end of the day to avoid any confusion at home time.
How to Contact us
If you have anything that you wish to discuss please feel free to speak to us on the door, preferably at the end of the day. Alternatively, you can call the school office on 01933 352850 or our email addresses are as follows:
We will respond to emails and phone calls as soon as we can.
Henry Chichele Primary School operates a ‘paperless’ policy so we will issue any newsletters, curriculum information or diary dates via email. Don't forget to check the school 'next 7 days' section on a Sunday evening for events for the forthcoming week! If you have not already done so, please can you give the School Office your email address so we can send the information to you. Also for any Reception specific information please check the ‘Henry Chichele Child’ on Tapestry
We aim to read with children at least once a week and this will normally be on a Monday. On the odd occasion your child does not read with an adult at school their reading book will still be changed. It is beneficial for children to read regularly at home and the Reception expectation is that children will read their book twice at home. The first time for decoding words and the second for comprehension. When you read with your child please can you leave a brief comment in their Reading Record.
The Reception Team are looking forward to working with you and your children over the coming year and if you have any worries or concerns please do not hesitate to contact us.
