Since summer of 2016 is the first time that children have been assessed at the end of Key Stages 1 and 2 using the new assessment criteria and the new tests related to this curriculum. The assessments are against 'Interim Frameworks', which although new, will be reviewed by the government and arelikely to change again next year. The assessments have been designed by the government to set a 'higher standard' and results cannot be compared with those from previous years.
